About the engagement

The client wanted quality assurance services with expertise
in SharePoint with eventual automation of the custom WebParts developed by the
team.

Testing background and problem statement

Prior to SWQA’s involvement, software testing within the
client organization was non-existent with some rudimentary testing managed

primarily at the development level with peer testing which
resulted in low-quality products and high client-raised issues.

SWQA Solution

SWQA was involved heavily with upgrading the entire
software-development process for the client including introduction of agile
methodology, process road maps and coding standards.

We were able to drastically reduce the time required to push
a new feature live with the help of robust set of test artefacts including a
comprehensive suite of automated regression scripts.

 Quality Benefits

  • High test case coverage
  • Setting and maintaining high quality standards to shift focus from detection of issues to their prevention
  • Automated scripts (using Selenium) to perform regression on multiple environments (SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2016, SharePoint 2019, Office 365)
  • Proven and unique methodology for testing
